Query:  I am the author of two rhyming picture books so far- THE MONSTER WHO LOST HIS MEAN (Holt/Macmillan) and OLLIE AND CLAIRE (Philomel/Penguin). My PB Party submission is for another rhymer called, THE LITTLE PINK ROBOT.

Everyone knows robots are supposed to be grey. Or are they? This is the story of a little pink robot who is just dying for someone to buy him. When he feels like no one is really in the market for a pink robot…he takes matters into his own hands. But sometimes the best things in life come not from blending in….but standing out.
Thank you for your time!
Excerpt:

THE LITTLE PINK ROBOT

Deep in the back of The Giant Toy Store,

in the corner of aisle one hundred and four,

surrounded by scooters and choppers and jets,

badminton rackets and basketball nets,

way, way up high, on a shelf in the sky,

was a Little Pink Robot that no one would buy.
